Grief around birth is as ubiquitous as it is silent and every birth experience involves grief in ways that aren’t visible. This area holds space for the many forms and kinds of grief that can emerge from the journey of birth. This includes death, in the forms of miscarriages, infant loss, and maternal mortality. This includes trauma, in the forms of experiencing obstetric violence, medical mistreatment, and discrimination. This includes guilt, and growing pains of transformation.
We invite you to allow your own grief to be honored, to honor the grief of others, and to reflect upon the unspoken emotional toll of birthing and birth work we all carry. Share your own thoughts, and make a sachet to take with you.
